Kansas basketball defeated the Puerto Rico Select Team 106-71 in its first exhibition game of the offseason. Watch clips from the win and find out the box score.

The Kansas Jayhawks routed their opponent during the team’s first time in action against a different team. On day three of the Puerto Rico trip, head coach Bill Self’s squad took down the Puerto Rico Select Team in blowout fashion.

You would have thought this team had been playing together for an entire year when watching the game. They looked like a cohesive unit, and every player knew what their role was. It should make Kansas basketball fans excited for the regular season.

Although they didn’t play the most formidable opposing squad, KU should be given props for how well they played against more experienced players — some who are almost ten years older than them.

Arterio Morris and KJ Adams led the way for the Jayhawks, with the two overshadowing the Kansas debut of Hunter Dickinson. Morris scored a team-high 20 points and did it extremely efficiently. Meanwhile, Adams finished just behind the Texas transfer with 19. The incoming junior even sunk his first-ever 3-pointer in a crimson and blue uniform (0-4 for his career).

3-point shooting was supposedly one of the team’s most underlying concerns, but KU quickly put that to rest. They hit 13-of-31 shots from beyond the arc, good for a 41.9% clip, and even drained five in a row in the third quarter.

This is the full box score:
