Product Description

A rail clip is used to fasten the rails to the underlying base plate together with the concrete sleeper. Usually, rail clips are made of forged spring steel which is produced by the hot forging process. Because of the uniform microstructure of forged clips, it is considered to be better than other metal-forming process.

Where else can rail clips be used? Rail clips have a wide range of applications, including: Industrial tracks: Tracks for gantry cranes in ports and heavy-duty cranes in factories and mines. Rail transit: Track fastening for subways, trams, and intercity railways. Switch areas: Special switch rail clips are used to secure the frog and switch point areas.

How long is the manufacturing lead time?Mass Production:30-45 working days after sample approval by yours.T he lead time is the general production period without the transportation time.We could make some special production arrangements effectively if the customer has an urgent need.6. How long does it take to ship goods from China by sea?It takes about 5 weeks to European ports plus 1 week for customs clearance, so you can get the container within 6 to 7 weeks. It takes about 2 weeks to the east coast and 3 weeks to the west coast US ports. All sea goods are shipped from Qingdao/Shanghai/Ningbo Port.7. How long does it take to ship goods from China by air?It takes about 7 days to all major destinations.8. What are the payment terms?Payment terms are negotiable and will improve for long-term customers. During the initial stages, we request 50% of the tooling fee in advance with the balance payable on acceptance of samples. Bulk production orders can be negotiable. We prefer a 30% deposit and the balance by T/T before delivery.9. New product development processGot tooling order and sample order with 50% deposit---Hold a meeting with the relation dept. If you have any parts to be made, please feel free to send your kind drawings/samples to us. Technical drawings including material mark, Product weight, and Purchase quantity. The comprehensive information will help us quickly calculate an accurate and reasonable price for you.

Raw material: Premium grade spring steel sourced from a reliable and certified long-term producer.Shearing: The spring steel bar has to be sheared as per the length required. Heating: to forging temperature (950-1000 degrees Celsius), but overheating shall be avoided to check decarburization.Forming: The properly heated bar is transferred to the power press for forging.Hardening: The forged rail clips are transferred to the quenching tank. Dimensional accuracy and quench hardness of rail clips are checked before tempering.Tempering: The rail clips are tempered at about 350 Celsius to achieve appropriate toughness in the spring. Inspection: The products are then checked thoroughly as per China CRCC and customer-required specifications and designs.Packing: Clips can be packed in woven bags or upon customer requirement.
