Brazilian Aggressively Pushes Surfer Off Wave, Asserting Localism...in Indonesia (Clip)

Apparently, these days, localism is a frame of mind.

Sure, amount of time surfing a wave, along with the climbing its presumed pecking order, should be taken into account, but locals are locals – are they not?

In Indonesia, things are a bit different, evidently, as evidenced by this next clip.

The clip above brings to mind something that happened recently in the Indonesian archipelago – the incident involving a Brazilian and American surfer, in which the Brazilian violently attacked the woman, after a some drop-ins and an altercation.

In this instance, it doesn’t appear like any blows were thrown.

However, there were some grievances.

One surfer was pulled off the wave by another, after he presumably had the right of way.

Alejandro Garza, the one pushed off the wave, and a surfer from Puerto Escondido, wrote:

“I’m the guy with the pink shirt.

“So, this guy dropped in on the wave behind me, after I was already on the wave, and he pushes me down.

“And then, he yells at me, saying he can catch any wave he wants because he is Brazilian and been surfing at Deserts for 20 years.

“[Laughing emoji.”

Of course, as expected, Kook of the Day also picked up the clip:

Commenting: “They’re just playin a lil game of grab ass.”

While others wrote:

“I’m here for the comments from people who don’t surf about surfing and surfers.”

“Why are surfers so angry all the time?”

“I wonder if that dude was dropping in on people all sesh.”
