People Slam Kiara Advani; Call Her Dumb For Insensitive & Cringe Video With Armed Forces

Recently, Kiara Advani celebrated Independence Day with Border Security Force (BSF) jawans at Attari, Amritsar.

Days later, a short video clip from the NDTV event has now gone viral on social media with many people criticising and slamming Kiara for being “dumb”, “cringeworthy” and “insensitive”.

People also wondered why Bollywood stars are allowed to do such a “cringeworthy PR exercise” and use armed force for their own publicity.

In the video, Kiara can be seen asking a female officer on duty about carrying heavy weapons wearing heavy uniforms and if she misses her kids and her family.

Sharing the video, a social media user wrote, “Cringe PR ! The lady in the uniform, rightly so, don't give a damn about a film actress praising her artificially. Not sure how such bakwas is allowed while a soldier is on duty.”

Reacting to the video, one user wrote, “She seems quite dumb Those lady BSF Soldiers expression suggest they must be thinking kaun Pagal takar gayi duty ke time”.

Another user reacted, “Man kiara is really dumb Look at those women and their expression”.

A third user commented, “Horrible ...such things mustn't be allowed @adgpi.Why are they even at border patrol? What kind of insensitive PR is this ? Please @advani_kiara @VikrantMassey stick to films and don't trespass into things you don't have real feelings for.”

However, a few others mentioned that the soldiers get thrilled when celebrities meet them, “Soldiers too are equally thrilled when celebrities visit them in remote border regions and get motivation that country is supporting them.”

Another user also echoed a similar sentiment saying, “Since I have relatives in the army I do know that soldiers get very happy when a Bollywood star comes to meet them. But it must be a sincere meet.”
